Projects
Here are some things I’ve worked on outside of the blog, mostly for fun. Feel free to use anything you find here.

I’ve been doing some volunteer translation from Russian into English for WorldMeets.Us. Here is a list of articles I’ve worked on. The translated articles contain links to the original Russian version.
- For Americans and Russians, Kyrgyzstan Overshadows Nukes
- Is Latin America Worth Russia’s Time and Money?
- Will Russia Join NATO?
- Mikhail Gorbachev to NATO: ‘Learn from Our Mistakes in Afghanistan’
- Romania Will Host U.S. Anti-Missile Shield
- Russia Must Take ‘Full Advantage’ of Obama’s Presence
- Stop Blaming U.S. for Russia’s Shortcomings
- Russian Ornament Firm Depicts Obama But Not Vladimir Putin
Arabic Study Aids
I put together a set of PowerPoint presentations to introduce a friend
to the Arabic alphabet. Each presentation covers several letters and
introduces vocabulary using those letters.
- Arabic Alphabet Part 1
- Practice #1
- Arabic Alphabet Part 2
- Arabic Alphabet Part 3
- Practice #2
- Arabic Alphabet Part 4
Linguist of the Year Competition
In July 2010, I was selected as my brigade‘s Linguist of the Year. Part of my packet was this essay regarding the value of the military linguist.
