Learn the Arabic Alphabet
A while ago someone asked me about learning Arabic. Having studied the language myself, I realized that one of the big obstacles standing between the average English speaker and learning this ancient language is the fact that the Arabic alphabet looks so alien to most of us who are used to the Latin or even Cyrillic script.
Looks are deceiving. The Arabic alphabet is different, but it’s not any more or less difficult to learn than any other form of writing. If I could master reading it in just a few weeks, I’m sure you can, too.
To help you along, I put together a few PowerPoint “lessons” on reading and writing the Arabic alphabet. They’re short and give you a good base to build from, along with a few vocabulary words to make it more interesting.
